Government Sponsored Classes:
GS-AC: "Advanced Computing" - Starts Monday October 6th, 2003 / Course Finished
Saba Computer Consulting will be teaching the government sponsored "Advanced Computing Class". Class will be run as a adult orientation and introductory computing class (similar to TEDU 101A). User input will be required to form lesson plans based on individual proficiencies. Course will touch on various computing topics and be designed to suit students needs.
ICT Training for Saba Comprehensive School Teachers:
ICT-SCS: "Computing for Educators" - Starts Thursday January 15th, 2004 / Course Finished
The ICT training program has began assisting Comprehensive School faculty expand their computer-based skills to the apex of modern computer technology. This Information Technology training, devised by James Wright of Saba Computer Consulting, will include lessons based on current Microsoft Office User Specialist Certifications. However, more importantly, the design of the program includes faculty reaching their own personal goals as well as modified lessons to aid their profession.
The faculty training will commence for a period of twenty weeks in sessions of an hour and a half per week. During these sessions faculty will have the ability to learn about various IT topics as well as software packages. Given a firm understanding of how computers and their operating systems work, the faculty will delve into customized lessons that will enhance upon their abilities as educators.
Our overall objective is to give each teacher who completes the course the ability to research, design, and execute invigorating material using current advances in technology.
